The Addictions Awareness Contest is a yearly program where young students, K to 12, can participate in this contest by writing an essay, poem, or short story; drawing a poster; or putting together a video exposing Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children message of addictions awareness and healthy choices. Material is provided to local lodges by the Elks National Office, encouraging our local schools, teachers and students to participate. A successful winner at the local level then can compete at the Provincial Level and onto the National Level.
